One of my customers, Diane in This is a FABULOUS and FUN one-day outdoor quilt show held on the first Saturday of August (August 1, 2009)in the town of Eureka which is in the northwestern corner of Montana near Lake Koocanusa and the Canadian border. This is definitely a community inspired event encompassing the entire town as approximately 400+ quilts are hung on the downtown buildings and in their historical village. Jackie Robinson of Animas Publications is the creative force behind this show. Eureka is about a 4 hour drive from Spokane, WA. The Northwest Quilting Expo in Portland, Oregon will be Septemer 24 - 26, 2009 at the Expo Center. There will be over 400+ quilts in this annual juried show with $13,000 in prizes for 2009. Lynette Jensen from Thimbleberries will be the featured speaker at this show on September 24, and has designed a special line of fabric with RJR Fabrics called "North by Northwest". Michele Crawford of Flower Box Quilts will be a vendor at the 2009 show. La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum The La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum in La Conner, WA is having their 12th Anniversary Quilt Show at the historic Gaches Mansion on October 2 - 4, 2009. Sandy Bonsib and Nancy Lee Chong are the featured quilters at this show.
